Winter in Spring

Its almost the end of march and spring officially begins two days from now. I expected it to be sunny and bright and to hear a few birds chirping. But we have two days more before spring and i guess thats why the sky was in a hurry to empty out the last few inches of snow before spring officially began. So, it did snow and this is what my apartment looks like when it has snowed. I used to feel that white was the most boring color but i feel that i was wrong. There is some beauty in seeing everything around you covered in white. I guess that i find it beautiful because its a sight that i will never get to see in my country, so im enjoying it as much as i can. I dont drive and so that saves me the hassle of having to drive through ice and snow. Looking out of your window and watching the snow fall can be one of the most beautiful sights. I can spend a very long time doing nothing but just stare at the falling snow. Of course i have enjoyed walking through the thick snow when it is falling. Its not real cold when the snow is falling when compared to when it has fallen and its an amazing feeling to just walk in the open with tiny snow flakes gently landing all over you. If your not too imune you wouldnt want to stay out in the open for too long. Heavy snow also means that most institutes remain closed or open real late and that means you get more time to lie in bed and enjoy the warmth and at the same time stare through your window and watch the snow fall. Thats exactly what happened today. Our college was closed for half the day and that meant that i could stay longer in bed. Pity i didnt manage to wake up early enough to watch some snow fall down. Instead by the time i was awake the ground was white. The absence of footprints in the snow meant that no one had stepped out of their apartments. Glad to know that im not the only one who enjoys to stay indoors and watch the snow fall outside.
