A lifesaver came in the form of a tag from Bohemian Rhapsody. Pretty simple one though. I am supposed to list out 10 things that I like, or maybe my favorite things. Not sure if it is supposed to include just material stuff, but I am going to mix it up anyway. These are a few things that would make a day into a near perfect one for me.
TV Shows - I don't think I need to mention music. Thats quite understood. So, jumping on to TV, I love watching the Food Network, especially "Rachel Ray". Its funny but my next two favorite shows are also food related. I like "Bizarre Foods" on the travel channel and I am also hooked on to "Hells Kitchen" on Fox network. You don't have to be a genius to figure out that I love food. Well, who doesn't? And that takes us to...
Food - yeah, I can eat Biryani every single day and I will NOT get sick of it. To be specific, I prefer lamb biryani. I have eaten them few days in a row. Maybe if I had easy access to them, I would have had it everyday.
Sleep - This is one of my favorite past times. I love to sleep when the sun comes up. I like to sleep long if I have a day off. The weird thing is, I don't really enjoy my day off, unless I am doing something. But to go to bed with the feeling that you have a day off tomorrow, wow, that's awesome.
A Coffee - Lying in bed when you wake up and thinking about a warm cup of coffee to get you going. That's good. What's better is actually having your first sip of the day. The best is when someone gets you your coffee and leaves it next to your bed as soon as you open your eyes.
Mail - I like it when I open my mailbox and find something with my name on it. I hardly receive any letters and what comes in the mail are usually bills and other junk. But if it has my name, it makes a difference. I hate opening an empty mail box.
The Net - How different would life be without internet? Just like snail mails, I expect at least some junk in my inbox. It could be some lousy joke or some forward. It doesn't matter. Junk is better than an empty inbox.
Friends - I love to spend nights yapping with friends. The topic or issue doesn't matter. It's the company that matters. We could go on and on. Since I don't get much of that here, chatting online with friends keeps me going.
Money - Each day when I get back from work, I like to keep a small portion of my earnings for the day in a separate place and I don't include that with my savings. I try not to think about it and maybe every few weeks or so, I add up that amount and yaaaaayyyyy... I have more money than I imagined. Simple pleasures.
Play Time - Boys will always love toys. In the middle of my busy schedule, I always find time to play with my toy train and maybe also strum a few chords on the guitar. It's just another form of release for me and also a way of relaxing.
Countdown - And finally, I wake up each day with the thought that I am one day closer to going back home for good. By the end of December, I would have been here for four years and I just cant wait to get back and get started on everything. The countdown widget on my desktop reminds me that as of today, I have approximately 145 days before I head back.
So now, the rule goes that I have to tag a few people in return. So I am going to tag a few who have not posted something in a while. Of course, everyone is welcome to do it. So here goes:

Survival
This is one of the most awesome videos that I have seen on youtube in recent days. Most of you may have already seen it. It was shot by a group of tourist during a Safari trip at the Kruger National Park in South Africa. The video was featured on the news and was even used by many churches for their sermons. This video alone got more than 9 million hits in just the last few days. Here is what happens:
A small family of water buffaloes are walking down to their water hole. A pack of lions lie in wait and slowly move towards the buffaloes. As they get close enough, they charge and attack the baby buffalo and drag it towards the water to possibly drown it, or maybe just to find a safe place. Suddenly two crocodiles from the water attack the baby and try to take control of it. There is a tug of war between the lions and the crocodiles. The lions win and drag the baby buffalo to the shore. Meanwhile the buffaloes have regrouped into a larger group and they come all guns blazing and attack the lions. A group attacks them while another male buffalo chases each lion away as they break off from the pack. One buffalo even throws a lion into the air with its horns. Pretty soon, the baby buffalo is reunited with its family while the lions run away.
Its amazing to what lengths they go to protect their young. Doesn't matter if its humans or animals. When a loved one is hurt or in distress, you don't think twice about putting your own life in danger.

Survey for the Married Soul

Its time for a little survey and this is strictly for married people only. Let me explain. As most/some of you know, I am slowly nearing the end of my course and the last wall is a thesis/research project, which I would have to complete sometime before the end of November. I am doing a research that includes exploring the relationship between couples in India and also the presence of spirituality/religion in their marriages. I would need at least 100 samples and hence I am posting this on my blog. So, if you are married, please do click on both the links below and take a few minutes and answer them for me.
There are 10 questions on each page, and so that's just 20 questions total. You DO NOT have to enter your name, so your identity will not be revealed and you can be assured of confidentiality. I will use this data only for the purpose of my research. So please, be a sport and click those links for me. Help me graduate....!!!
The Marriage Survey - Part 1
The Marriage Survey - Part 2 (spirituality)
Thanks in advance to all those who participated.
